ENG 111 - College Reading and Writing


(4 credits) Meets GOAL 1.

This course aims to strengthen students' reading and writing abilities in preparation for college-level writing. A means of learning and inquiry, the writing in this course is based on interpreting, analyzing, and critiquing texts as well as on conducting research, synthesizing sources, and using citation/documentation formats. Prerequisite: Qualifying ACT English sub-score, minimum score on the English placement exam, or successful completion of ENG 099 - Introduction to College Writing . Grade only. Offered each semester.
