WGSS 420 - WGSS Capstone


(3-6 credits)

This course is required for all Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) minors and is the culmination of their degree. The capstone gives students an opportunity to explore gender-related issues and the gender dimension of social issues through experiences outside the classroom; integrate practical experience with feminist analyses developed in WGSS courses; and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to act effectively as citizens of their communities. Prerequisites: WGSS 148 - Introduction to Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies  and WGSS 220 - Intersections of Privilege and Power  or WGSS 233 - Introduction to LGBTQIA+ Studies , enrollment in WGSS minor, or instructor permission. Grade only. Offered at least once annually.
