△ WGSS 373 - Anti-Racist Feminist Theories and Politics(3 credits) Meets GEP Writing Intensive. This course seeks to examine theoretical approaches and practices to address social and global oppressions. This course will explore abolitionist, anti-imperialist, and anti-racist intersectional feminist theories. This course will use intersectional and anti-essentialist frameworks to critique dominant understandings of political, social, cultural and economic realities. Prerequisites: ENG 111 - College Reading and Writing , WGSS 148 - Introduction to Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies , WGSS 220 - Intersections of Privilege and Power or WGSS 233 - Introduction to LGBTQIA+ Studies , or instructor permission. Grade or P/NC. Offered at least once annually. |
