CMST 192 - Introduction to Effective Communication

(3 credits) Meets GOAL 1.

This course introduces students to the concepts, models, and theories of human communication and their application to interpersonal, small groups, and public speaking situations. Students practice problem-solving, identify conflict-resolution strategies, and recognize leadership styles. Students also present informative, persuasive, and group presentations. Grade only. Offered each semester. Note: This is a highly intensive oral communication skills class. This class is not intended to help with English language confidence and proficiency skills.
