Question
I am on the WSU Rochester Campus. How can I access Career Services?
Answer

WSU-Rochester is fortunate to have a Career Services staff person on-campus available to meet with students for help with resumes, cover letters, job & internship searches, and interviewing preparation, as well as for guidance in choosing a major and career exploration. WSU-R students also have access to assessments offered by Career Services, such as Discover, the Strong Interest Inventory, and StrengthsQuest.

Alternatively, if you are unable to meet with the WSU-Rochester Career Services staff member in person, you can gain assistance through email by contacting rochestercareer@winona.edu.

WSU-R students also have access to a number of electronic resources, including our EZLink on-line job posting system (useful for finding on and off-campus positions/internships), Interview Stream (using your personal computer with a web-cam/microphone), podcasts and Career Spots videos, and our Career Guide (PDF). There are also links to our Graduate Success Report, graduate schools, and many external career-related links.

While many events such as the Career Fair and on-campus interviews do take place in Winona, Rochester students are strongly encouraged to attend those events, as they are fantastic opportunities to explore possible careers and network with employers. For a list of upcoming events, visit our website.

WSU-Rochester students are also encouraged to explore WSU-R's GPS website. Goals + Plans = Success is a free resource provided by MnSCU that offers a wealth of information in many areas, including Career, Education, Finance, Leadership, and Personal, as well as access to E-Folio.
