When will incoming freshmen find out their housing assignments?
Winona State University runs a self-selection process where students get to pick their exact room rather than have a room assigned to them. Room preference information is not collected during the housing application process.
New students who apply for housing by May 1 will be able to select their room in June on their Housing Portal. Students will receive room selection information via e-mail after May 15 with information on how to select their room, etc.
Students who apply for housing after May 1 will have a room assigned to them by our staff after June 15. Once a room has been assigned, the student will receive an email and they will also be able to view their booking on their Housing Portal.
