Wisconsin Placement Testing
KBA-01335-P4L4W9
Question

At my high school students have been talking about the Wisconsin Placement tests for college. I was just wondering if there is anything I should be doing for that or if I need to sign up for a test date. I have not received any information about it and just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Answer

Placement tests are not required at WSU; most students will be placed into their initial Mathematics and English courses on the basis of their ACT subscores.

Incoming first year students will have the option of taking English and Math Accuplacer placement tests during New Student Registration in June.  Advance registration is not required.

New transfer students and continuing students can register to take the placement tests during regularly scheduled times throughout the year.

Additional information on placement is available at the Advising Services website.
