Paul Shambroom: “Lost” and “Shrines: Public Weapons in America”
Start Date: 10/22/2018 All Day
End Date: 11/14/2018

Event Description:

The Art and Design department is hosting an exhibition by Paul Shambroom from Oct. 22 to Nov. 14 in Watkins Hall.

Paul Shambroom is an internationally-known, Minneapolis-based photographer. “Lost” features images taken from lost pet fliers along with a digital slideshow of pets reunited with owners; “Shrines: Public Weapons in America” looks at weapons of war repurposed as public monuments honoring the dead. Both series of photographs address notions of loss in different yet complimentary ways.

Paul Shambroom will give a talk about his work Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 4 to 5 p.m in Watkins Hall with a reception to follow from 5 to 6 p.m.
