Resilience Theme Film Series: Eighth Grade

Event Description:

The Resilience Film Series continues with one of 2018's most acclaimed films, Eighth Grade, Bo Burnham's comedy featuring Elsie Fisher in a heartrending performance as Kayla Day, a teen struggling to manage her transition from eighth to ninth grade with challenges from her peers, the support of her father, and the risks of social media. 

Winona State's Film Studies Program presents the 2018-19 University Theme Film Series, Resilience.  This series of films examines and celebrates the quality of resilience in the human condition with a variety of documentary, narrative, feature, and short films.  

Films run Oct. 2, Oct. 9, Oct. 12, Oct. 15, Oct. 16, Oct. 21, Oct. 23, Oct. 27, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. in the Miller Auditorium (Stark 103).


All screenings are free and open to the public.
