Event Description
Jaleh McCormack will deliver her talk, "Making Parents Responsible for Childhood Obesity: Obesity Scientists' Construction of the Capable Parent."

This talk will examine the discourse used in scientific texts with personal narratives to show how parents are constructed as responsible for fat on their children's bodies and to question the blaming of parents.
