Event Description
The Winona State University Lyceum Series will host “The Soul of a Citizen” with author Paul Loeb.

Loeb is a leading voice and advocate for practical activism in the U.S. This presentation will explore how citizens of all ages can get involved in larger community issues and how civic involvement can give a sense of connection and purpose in a person’s life.

Loeb traveled the country for seven years, speaking with students and citizens about their beliefs and choices, and learning about how people give back to their communities. These discussions resulted in his book, Soul of a Citizen: Living With Conviction in a Cynical Time. His latest book, The Impossible Will Take a Little While, focuses on political hope and won this year’s Nautilus Award for best social change book of the year.
